As most of you who follow us know, when we purchased the Linda Theater and the adjacent building now housing the Cafe Rewind and Afterlife Performance club, we did so with the long term plan of converting the Linda into a 500 seat concert venue.

We have already made some upgrades including a better location for the concession stand. We have also expanded what we have available in the concession stand to include adult beverages. We have done this while continuing to show first run movies.

With the cafe and night club now up and running we are at a point in this process where it is time to make some additional upgrades to the theatre hall. Now is the time to do this because it is the middle of winter and people are less likely to leave their warm house and battle snow and ice just to watch a movie.

So, with this announcement we are going to shut down the movie theater for a while and take on a big job of adding a performance stage. This will allow us to offer a wide variety of live events including music concerts by semi national bands or tribute show, live comedy, and maybe even some theatrical performances by local theater groups. We will keep the screen active and continue to use it for movies or sports games going forward but now is the best time to upgrade the room.

I will do regular updates with pictures too keep everyone up to speed on our progress over the next two cold winter months.
